Arrived In Tokyo

After many delays, we finally arrived in Tokyo at around 10:30 pm. I quickly freshened up and met with 5 friends to explore Tokyo. We first went to the famous area that was in the movie Lost in Translation. It looks just like time square with all the neon lights. On the subway ride there, we saw a man wearing nothing but underwear being escorted by police!!! Then I really felt like I was in New York. After walking around town, we found a place to eat and were seated beside a group of young Japanese people. Two of my friends spoke Japanese and one of their friends spoke English. We spent most of the time laughing hysterically and played an impromptu game where everyone tried to remember the names of the people in the other group. It was an amazing first night.

Flight Delayed!!!

I'm in the airport and ready to leave, but our flight got delayed!!! I'm so ready to be in Japan. Here is a picture of me with some fellow JETs waiting for our flight. At least we have each other.

Leaving in 1 week!!!
